The Rochester Nonprofit Consortium is a large, vibrant network of over 65 nonprofit organizations of all sizes dedicated to creating a more efficient, effective, and collaborative local nonprofit sector.
The Consortium is able to build close relationships among members through regular gatherings and events, shared resources, mentoring and professional development, and aligning nonprofits’ work to best serve Rochester and the surrounding communities.
Consortium members range from small grassroots and startup organizations without full-time staff to large human services and education organizations with hundreds of employees. Rochester Area Foundation provides oversight and administration, with a team of Rochester nonprofit leaders guiding the group’s vision and activities.
The Rochester Nonprofit Consortium is committed to providing low-cost, accessible membership fees that cover the costs of providing extraordinary value to members.
When your organization becomes a member of the Rochester Nonprofit Consortium, all of your employees, volunteers, and board members are eligible to participate in free members-only programming.

Serving as a nonprofit Executive Director is a very lonely job. So often, we struggle with difficult situations in isolation. Having the Rochester Nonprofit Consortium offer Executive Director meetings with an open agenda allowed me to have productive conversations with other community EDs about burning questions of the day. Each time I attend, I come away with something helpful that I can apply to my work, and I feel supported.
Cindy Russell | The Reading Center
I joined the Rochester Nonprofit Consortium this year as I sought sound advice from experienced nonprofit executives to deliver the best service that I can offer to my constituents. What a blessing this group is to our community!
